INTERNATIONAL WOMEN's DAY 2025 - LEADING THE ADVENTURE

International Women’s Day is a great occasion to celebrate women in the outdoor world. Whether they’re professional athletes, avid hikers or outdoor charity support workers, ALL have a pivotal role in bringing women together. Women who celebrate female adventures, women who aim for higher peaks or those who simply enjoy a sense of belonging when submerged in nature!

Women of the outdoors – now is your time to thrive!

For this year's IWD, LOWA connected with Emily Taylor, otherwise known as Trigs and Teeth. LOWA first connected with Emily a few years ago, drawn to her passionate drive to share the outdoors with her audience on Instagram and the fact that she was already a Renegade fan!

Emily’s story is one we can all relate to, when she hit a point where her mental health had impacted her way of life, she took a step outside and went for a walk.

Being outside, taking a breath and enjoying nature is a huge tonic for balancing your body and mind. In today's busy lifestyle that most women undertake, we often forget to allow ourselves time to re-charge and re-set.

Emily did not stop there, she went on to educate, train and become qualified with navigation, Hill and Moorland leading. Signing up with the Mountain Training Association took her from strength to strength, and her solo hiking days led her to share her passion with other Women as a professional outdoor coach.

Setting up her business, Peak Outdoor Coaching, Emily has been able to offer her skills to many other women looking to enjoy walking, hiking, trekking, you name it!

With courses and training ranging from Map Reading and Navigation to Group Hikes connecting you with like-minded women and adventurous Trips Abroad!

The sky really is the limit when you take the time to learn the skills, get the right kit, and of course, choose the appropriate footwear.
