Sport climbing 'Oscar' for Stefan Glowacz
Extreme climber and adventurer Stefan Glowacz has received the coveted award "Climbing Ambassador by Aquafil" at the Rock Master Festival 2012 in Arco.
LOWA ambassader Glowacz thus joins the exclusive ranks of distinguished alpinists who have also received the honour: Alongside legends such as Maurizio "Manolo" Zanolla, Luisa Lovane and Lynn Hill, Glowacz has joined the Hall of Fame of climbers, in particular because he has invested himself in the development of sport climbing with his passion, enthusiasm and vision.
Stefan Glowacz didn't just become renowned due to his numerous climbing championships. Today he belongs among those alpinists who always saw a true challenge in taking on distant expeditions and rarely explored climbing regions. "After my competition career ended, awards didn't mean that much to me anymore. But when you honour personal dreams, passion and even effort with such an important award, then this prize has special meaning", commented the honouree about the award in Arco.
