The below can be used as a guide if you're not sure on your boot size, and need guidance with where to start - it is best to measure the length of your foot when stood up. Due to individual foot shapes or preferences in fit this recommendation may vary. We also offer some boots in wide and narrow fitting options.

LOWA boots are made in UK sizes (not EU) and are true to size. Most people buy their normal footwear size, however, we do offer free returns for peace of mind if the fit isn't quite right.

Specifications

The Maddox Pro GTX Lo SL is lightweight and supple, with a close feeling to the ground for confidence when moving quickly. Built on the new LOWA Fast Hiking sole, the Maddox Pro has a high level of underfoot cushioning and a bi-directional treat pattern for mixed terrain. The SL version utilises a speed lacing system, allowing for a more convenient and hassle free way to put the shoes on quickly. The Maddox Pro also uses LOWA’s support frame to lateral stability without adding weight. The fabric of the shoe is a mix of lightweight synthetic materials and is vegan friendly. A full Gore-Tex lining ensures wet weather protection.

Technology

Highly breathable, durably waterproof lining material. Keeps feet pleasantly dry and offers optimised climate comfort for a broad range of outdoor activities.
Conceived and developed by LOWA, the outsole is made from an optimised rubber compound, specifically designed to meet the footwear's intended use.
Comfort and cushioning is further improved for specific uses with a complex injection-moulding process using various layers of PU-foam padding that are poured into a mould. During the process, the sole and upper are bonded together.
A special polyurethane (PU) foam material in the midsole, that retains its restoring force even when it’s pressed together thousands of times. As a result, the finished boots will maintain their exceptional cushioning properties even after you have walked many 100s of miles in them.
The LOWA Monowrap support frame provides a three-dimensional cradle, to guide and support the foot over uneven surfaces. Made of PU, the Support frame offers excellent lightweight support.
The midsole supports the foot's natural rolling properties, with a little rigidity coming from the footwear.
This footwear is vegan friendly, not using any leather or animal glues in the construction.
