The below can be used as a guide if you're not sure on your boot size, and need guidance with where to start - it is best to measure the length of your foot when stood up. Due to individual foot shapes or preferences in fit this recommendation may vary. We also offer some boots in wide and narrow fitting options.

LOWA boots are made in UK sizes (not EU) and are true to size. Most people buy their normal footwear size, however, we do offer free returns for peace of mind if the fit isn't quite right.

Specifications

The new Explorer is an all-new shoe from LOWA, designed and built like a walking boot, but offering the breathability and flex of a shoe. The stand out feature of the Explorer is the new unique sole, designed in conjunction with Vibram, offering 5mm rubber lugs married to a new advanced Lightcell PU layer, offering best-in-class cushioning. This new sole makes the Explorer instantly comfortable from new, soft and supportive underfoot, but designed so they can also be re-soled in the future. The upper of the shoe has a soft suede and fabric construction with lacing that goes all the way down to the toe, allowing you to taylor the fit to your foot shape easily. A rubber and TPU toe and heel cap offer scuff protection, and a full Gore-Tex lining keeps your feet dry.

This product can be resoled by a specialist (in the UK we recommend Lancashire Sports Repairs). They're constructed in a way where the upper of the footwear is retained, and a new sole can be added to it.
Provides a good balance between optimal support for the foot, and pleasant rolling properties.
Women's specific last, designed with the anatomy of women's feet in mind, with a differently shaped instep and area around the ball of the foot.
