The Locarno GTX Lo Ws Wide is a multi-sport shoe from LOWA, designed to keep you moving and boast a stylish, yet simple design that is perfect for everyday and casual wear. With that in mind, we created a lighter shoe for our ATC range, an extremely versatile, modern outdoor shoe that you can wear to the office, around town or on your day hike. Although light and sleek, the Locarno remains true to its core outdoor roots, featuring the essential details to keep you moving comfortably through life.
Featuring a high quality Nubuck and Fabric upper, its inverted Monowrap frame construction with a DynaPU midsole offers superb support, rebound and shock absorption, and the lower profile LOWA Hybrid Trac outsole offers a nimble, close to the ground feel. The wide fit provides extra space across the whole of the foot, and is designed for bigger feet in general. Also available in a standard fit.

Comfort and cushioning is further improved for specific uses with a complex injection-moulding process using various layers of PU-foam padding that are poured into a mould. During the process, the sole and upper are bonded together
A special polyurethane (PU) foam material in the midsole, that retains its restoring force even when it’s pressed together thousands of times. As a result, the finished boots will maintain their exceptional cushioning properties even after you have walked many 100s of miles in them.
The midsole supports the foot's natural rolling properties, with a little rigidity coming from the footwear.
Highly breathable, durably waterproof lining material. Keeps feet pleasantly dry and offers optimised climate comfort for a broad range of outdoor activities.
Conceived and developed by LOWA, the outsole is made from an optimised rubber compound, specifically designed to meet the footwears intended use.
The LOWA Monowrap support frame provides a three-dimensional cradle, to guide and support the foot over uneven surfaces. Made of PU, the Support frame offers excellent lightweight support.
In a wide last, the forefoot area has a greater volume than the same area in a standard last. Shoes made with a Wide last can feel more comfortable for people with special foot types (such as hallux valgus, flat foot, fallen arches etc.)
Women's specific last, designed with the anatomy of women's feet in mind, with a differently shaped instep and area around the ball of the foot.
