The Ranger GTX Wide is everything that’s great about the Ranger, but produced on a bespoke wide fit Last. Designed to offer more space around the toes, the Ranger Wide still offers the same rugged support for all terrain use. The unique Vibram Apptrail Divo sole offers advanced dual layer cushioned throughout for long days on the trail. New metal hardware help reduce weight in conjunction with a new tailored rubber rand for protection. The supple oiled Nubuck leather upper works with the Lowa X-Lace system to offer a snug and secure fit from new, with no breaking in required. Naturally the Ranger Wide features a Gore-Tex performance lining to give full weather protection and year round comfort.
This is the wide fit model. It is also available in Standard Fit.

In a wide last, the forefoot area has a greater volume than the same area in a standard last. Shoes made with a Wide last can feel more comfortable for people with special foot types (such as hallux valgus, flat foot, fallen arches etc.)
Patented LOWA technology holds the tongue in place both vertically and horizontally. This prevents slippage, reducing pressure points or blisters. The X-Lacing ensures that the pressure of the laces is transferred not just to the hooks but to the tongue as well.
