These boots are a serious piece of kit. They are well made with an excellent finish. They are extremely comfortable straight from the box. Out where it really counts i.e. in the rough and ready these boots really excel. They have excellent support for your ankles and do not chaff.Worn on their own they are waterproof. Worn with gaiters you can cross streams and bogs with guaranteed dry feet.They have exceptional grip on slopes whether loose scree or soft peat.The sole will give good steady progress on wet rocks or boulders and is firm underfoot on tracks. To let these boots do the business inside as well as they do outside, get some decent socks. With it's Gortex lining your feet are guaranteed a comfortable day out. These are exceptional boots well worth the money. Taken care of, they will give many happy and safe trips to where ever your fancy takes you. They will definately help you go that extra mile-or peak!Your stamina will let you down long before these boots reach their limit. I carry a full overnight pack and these boots are still very comfortable- with the necessary support needed with a full 65 litre pack. All in all serious boots for serious business. One other thing. After your trip out, when you come home do the decent thing. Remove the laces and the inner footbeds and stand up the eyelets. Now get your garden hose and hose them down. Get rid of all that clag that you will invariably bring home on these boots. Then fine clean them with a small nail brush or tooth brush. Do not forget to retreat before your neaxt assault on the wilds. To these boots that is tender love and care and they will repay you for it.Invariably they will get scuffed, especially the toes. Every scuff mark will have it own tale to tell. They can be covered up with the occasional polishing.Next time you need some boots give these some thought. You will not be disappointed.
